If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d FINALLY be swapping the Midlands for Edinburgh, I probably would have laughed while polishing a pair of thigh-high leather boots…
Yet here we are.
After years of building my career, running one of the UK’s best-known fetish venues, Celestial Studios, which is now being managed more efficiently than ever by my amazing team, it’s time for a new city! I have supported thousands of individuals and couples in their exploration of BDSM safely and professionally in the East Midlands, but the time has come for my next chapter.
Edinburgh has always had a special place in my heart, and now I’m finally making the move north after years of visiting for one week a month and seeing some of my favourite Scottish submissives, sluts and masochists.
Of course, anyone who has ever tried to buy a house in Scotland will know that it’s never quite as simple as spotting a pretty cottage online and turning up with a suitcase. I’ve viewed everything from beautiful Victorian homes to quirky commercial properties, old churches, former pubs, industrial units and enough garages to start a small mechanics’ empire.
Every viewing has started with the same thought:
“Could this work as a dungeon?”
Estate agents have become wonderfully accustomed to me wandering around basements wondering where a St Andrew’s Cross might fit, whether suspension points could be installed, and if the neighbours would appreciate hearing the occasional crack of a flogger through the walls.
Somehow, I suspect not.
The Search for the Perfect Premises
One thing I’ve learnt during my property hunt is that finding the right professional BDSM premises is every bit as important as finding the right home.
Accessibility matters.
Privacy matters.
Parking definitely matters.
And enough space for an ever-growing collection of leather, latex, corsets, boots, rope, chains, electrical equipment and enough bondage straps to make airport security have a nervous breakdown is absolutely essential.
I haven’t yet found the perfect property, but I have found a great stop gap!
I’ll now be working from a fully equipped professional dungeon close to Haymarket, Edinburgh.
It’s an established, discreet venue with everything needed to provide the safe, professional, high-end experiences that my clients have come to expect over the years.
Rather than spending months building a new dungeon from scratch, I can focus on what I love most—creating unforgettable sessions while continuing to develop my work in Scotland.
Bringing the Dungeon… One Suitcase at a Time
Moving house is stressful enough.
Moving as a professional Mistress is an entirely different level of organised chaos.
Most people pack saucepans.
I’m packing vacuum-sealed latex, enough leather to upholster a Bentley, coils of rope, military-grade storage boxes filled with restraints, electrical equipment, riding crops, canes, collars, cuffs and boots that collectively weigh more than my dining table.
Somewhere between box number seventeen and realising I’d somehow accumulated an alarming number of corsets, I accepted that moving as Vivienne l’Amour wasn’t ever going to be minimalist.
The removal company may never be the same again.

It’s about simplifying life, creating a better work-life balance, embracing Scotland, and building something exciting in one of my favourite cities, with my 3 dogs in tow, Beryl, Gingernut… and Wallace.
There will undoubtedly be plenty more stories from the house hunt, no doubt involving unusual properties, airport flight paths, estate agents wondering why ceiling joists are receiving such intense scrutiny, and the logistical challenge of transporting what is, essentially, an entire dungeon’s worth of equipment across the country.
